About the Role
As a Maintenance Mechanic III, you will receive work assignments from the Maintenance Supervisor and will be responsible for interpreting blueprints, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical problems, and performing repairs on various systems including plumbing, HVAC, and electrical. You will also assist in job training for maintenance staff and ensure the upkeep of the college's facilities.
About You
Required:
- Minimum of five years of work experience as a skilled Maintenance Mechanic.
- High school diploma or GED plus vocational or technical certification in electronics, electricity, or HVAC.
Preferred:
- Illinois Swimming Pool Operators certificate issued by the Illinois Department of Public Health.
- Completion of an introduction to Mini/Micro Computer course or Basic Computer Familiarization course.
