Summary
Medix™ is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for GMP Manufacturing to join their team in Orangeburg, NY. The role involves leading a skilled team of maintenance mechanics in a fast-paced, high-stakes manufacturing environment.
About the Role
As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will supervise and lead a group of 15–20 union maintenance mechanics on the 3rd shift. Your responsibilities will include managing performance, ensuring operational readiness of production equipment, overseeing preventive maintenance and repairs, providing hands-on support, maintaining high visibility on the production floor, and coordinating shift handoffs.
About You
Required:
- Minimum of 5+ years of mechanical maintenance experience with automated, fast-paced production lines.
- 5+ years of experience leading a team of maintenance mechanics, ideally within a union plant environment.
- Minimum of a High School Diploma; a college or trade school degree is preferred.
- Strong understanding of working in a regulated GMP environment.
Preferred:
- Skilled in using mechanical measuring instruments and troubleshooting packaging equipment.
- Ability to give clear direction to a group and coordinate effectively with other departmental teams.
- Ability to identify and train talent to build the next generation of technical leaders.
- PLC experience and bilingual Spanish proficiency are highly regarded.
