About the Role
As a Maintenance Technician II, you will be responsible for conducting routine maintenance, troubleshooting complex issues, and implementing preventive maintenance activities to ensure the smooth operation of IQF fruit processing and packaging equipment. Key responsibilities include advanced equipment maintenance, preventive maintenance scheduling, troubleshooting, equipment monitoring, safety compliance, inventory management, documentation, emergency response, team leadership, and continuous improvement initiatives.
About You
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in HVAC, electrical, or mechanical systems preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in maintenance, particularly in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing and packaging equipment, including refrigeration systems used in IQF processes.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred:
- Experience with forklift, scissor lift, and boom lift operation.
- Familiarity with GMPs (current Good Manufacturing Practices) in a food manufacturing facility.
- Metal fabrication experience.
- Experience working with automation and system controls.
- Proficiency in using maintenance management software and other maintenance tools.
