Summary
Lockheed Martin is seeking a Manager - Software Engineering Lead to join their team in Littleton, CO. The role involves leading a software development team to oversee the design, development, documentation, and testing of software solutions for military applications.
About the Role
As a Software Engineering Lead, you will manage staffing and resource allocation, conduct performance evaluations, and ensure adherence to software development plans. You will guide and mentor a team of approximately 20 software engineers, interface with program management, and drive program execution while implementing digital transformation initiatives.
About You
Required:
- Demonstrated leadership skills and behaviors that align with the Full Spectrum Leadership Imperatives.
- Minimum of 10 years of direct software development experience, preferably in C++ and Java.
- Experience with planning and coordinating software development in a team-oriented environment.
- Knowledgeable in Software Engineering Process and Tools, including Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Obtain Security+ certification within 6 months of starting.
Preferred:
- Experience in certification and accreditation of a Cross-Domain Solution (CDS).
- Familiarity with Linux operating systems.
- Experience with software estimating tools and metrics identification.
- Previous Functional Manager responsibilities over a team of at least 10 people.
- Experience with government standards and guidelines impacting a CDS.
