Proofpoint is seeking a Manager, Commercial Sales to lead a team of inside sales professionals in Pittsburgh, PA. The role focuses on driving net new business growth in the Mid-Market Cyber-Security space.
About the Role
As the Manager, Commercial Sales, you will guide and motivate a team of Account Executives to drive revenue growth through a positive customer experience. Your responsibilities include connecting team members to key resources, maintaining a positive culture, providing training and coaching, preparing business plans, tracking performance indicators, and maintaining partnerships with various business units. You will also need to adapt to modified work hours and occasional travel for key accounts.
About You
Required:
Minimum 2 years of experience leading high performing inside sales or field sales teams.
Prior quota carrying sales experience, preferably in software or IT related technology.
Strong leadership experience with a focus on training, coaching, and motivation.
Expert knowledge of the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing.
Preferred:
Experience in solution sales environment and training in specific sales methodologies such as MEDDIC, Challenger, SPIN Selling.
Ability to function in a 'Player/Coach' role and assist account executives in closing deals.
Background selling Security or SaaS products.
Technical aptitude and ability to learn new concepts quickly.
