U.S. Tsubaki Automotive is seeking a Manager, Heat Treat Equipment, Systems and Process to join their team in Sandusky, OH. The role involves supporting all U.S. Tsubaki heat treat operations and implementing best practices to enhance Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost KPIs.
About the Role
As the Manager of Heat Treat Equipment, Systems, and Process, you will conduct site assessments and audits of heat treat equipment and processes, lead process improvements, manage manufacturing launches, and perform root cause investigations. You will also be responsible for developing training programs and ensuring best operating practices across all heat treat operations.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or Metallurgy.
- 5–10 years of manufacturing experience specializing in heat treating equipment and processes.
- Strong working knowledge of heat treating equipment functionality and operation.
- Practical experience with heat treating processes including carburizing, carbonitriding, and induction hardening.
- Ability to diagnose equipment issues and correct unsafe conditions.
- Strong analytical, problem solving, communication, and project management skills.
Preferred:
- Master's degree in a relevant field.
- Automotive industry experience.
- Familiarity with ISO and IATF quality management systems.
- Expert level proficiency in ERP systems and quality management software.
