About the Role
As the Manager of Mechanical Engineering, you will oversee a team of 5-10 mechanical engineers, ensuring adherence to design standards and managing program-level execution. Your responsibilities include enforcing design standards, conducting thermal and structural analysis, and mentoring team members. You will also participate in the development of engineering procedures and maintain compliance with AS9100 standards.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or related discipline.
- 8+ years aerospace/defense experience.
- Demonstrated experience designing electronics packaging for harsh environments.
- Experience with structural, vibration, and shock design.
- Proficiency with 3D CAD systems (PTC Creo preferred).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or related engineering discipline.
- Direct experience with flight-critical control actuation systems.
- Experience leading programs through environmental qualification and production release.
- Active, or eligible for, U.S. security clearance.
