Summary
Swoon is seeking a Manager, OSP Operations (Fiber Construction & Network Operations) to lead the construction, maintenance, and operational performance of a growing fiber optic network in Eagle Pass, TX.
About the Role
As the Manager, OSP Operations, you will own annual construction goals for fiber passings, oversee multiple fiber construction projects, recruit and train a team, establish operational standards, manage third-party construction partners, and lead inspection operations. You will also develop emergency restoration plans and address community concerns related to construction.
About You
Required:
- BS/BA in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related equivalent.
- 5+ years management experience in OSP construction, leading teams in fiber/telecom construction.
- Strong knowledge of telecom engineering, budget management, scheduling, and field operations.
- Strong computer skills; proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Preferred:
- Experience with mapping/GIS/CADD tools.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and ability to drive strategic initiatives.
