KPMG US is seeking a Manager, P&C Actuarial to join their Audit practice in Richmond, VA. The role involves supporting team management, project planning, and providing technical oversight for property and casualty engagements.
About the Role
As a Manager, P&C Actuarial, you will support Directors with team management, project planning, and analytics for advisory and audit support projects. You will provide technical oversight of the actuarial staff, produce and leverage actuarial models, and maintain documentation consistent with KPMG work paper requirements. Additionally, you will participate in strategic initiatives such as innovation and business development.
About You
Required:
- Minimum five years of recent work experience in actuarial science with applicable recent work experience in a professional services environment; experience working in pricing or reserving required.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university with a strong academic background in actuarial science, applied statistics, financial analysis, insurance, and mathematics.
- Certification and in good standing as an Associate or Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society is required; active member of the American Academy of Actuaries is a plus.
- Experience working in a team setting and leading teams and/or projects; strong understanding of property and casualty insurance products.
- Exceptional technical, writing, and verbal communication skills.
- Availability for travel based on client and project demands.
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
