About the Role
As a Manager in the State and Local Tax (SALT) practice, you will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide subject matter expertise to clients. Your responsibilities will include reviewing state income tax returns, researching tax issues, aiding clients in tax controversies, and supervising and mentoring staff. You will also help KPMG audit teams with state tax-related analyses and build client relationships.
About You
Required:
- Minimum five years of recent experience performing tax research and preparing/reviewing state income tax returns for various entities.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university; Licensed CPA, EA, JD/LLM or MTX.
- Excellent writing, compliance, communication, management, and tax research skills.
Preferred:
- Ability to foster relationships both internally and with clients.
- Desire to perform in a high-energy team environment.
