Summary
Arc is seeking a Manager, Software Engineering to join their team in Torrance, CA. The role involves building and leading a high-functioning software engineering team to develop innovative electric boating solutions.
About the Role
As a Manager, Software Engineering, you will be responsible for forming technically-informed strategies, providing growth opportunities and feedback to team members, and communicating with adjacent teams to improve efficiency. You will work closely with a lean, high-trust team and report to the Director of Software Engineering.
About You
Required:
- 6+ years of industry experience
- 2+ years of management experience
- Strong grasp of the fundamentals of software engineering
- Excellent interpersonal skills in both written and verbal media
Preferred:
- Prior experience with Typescript and/or Python
- Prior experience with Amazon Web Services and/or Google Cloud Platform
- Prior experience with software in a hardware domain, such as embedded devices, mobile apps, IoT, and/or infotainment systems
- Comfortable pushing a fast but sustainable pace
- Enthusiasm for boating and clean energy
