About the Role
As a Manufacturing Data Engineer (Data Platform/DBA), you will design, develop, and support data pipelines for near real-time and historical manufacturing data. You will integrate machine and production data from various sources, standardize shop-floor data structures, publish validated datasets for reporting, and implement data quality checks. Additionally, you will partner with cross-functional teams to translate machine signals into business-ready data and support light database administration tasks.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of data engineering experience with exposure to manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with data modeling and relational databases.
- Proficiency with Python or similar scripting languages.
Preferred:
- Experience with industrial data sources such as OPC UA, SCADA/MES, historians, MQTT, or industrial gateways.
- Familiarity with OEE, downtime analysis, quality, and traceability concepts.
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms.
