Summary
Johnson Controls is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II to join their team in San Antonio, TX. The role involves developing, evaluating, and improving manufacturing methods and processes to sustain the manufacture of existing products.
About the Role
As a Manufacturing Engineer II, you will conduct detailed process design work, continuously improve production methods using Six-Sigma methodologies, troubleshoot production problems, lead capital equipment projects, and assess new product concepts for manufacturability. You will also be responsible for qualifying new or modified products through the processes under your purview.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
- 3+ years of manufacturing engineering experience supporting assembly operations.
- Proficient with MS Office products and AutoCAD.
- Experience in tooling & fixture design.
- Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Knowledge of tooling, gauging, Six Sigma, MSA, and capability studies.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
Preferred:
- History of process improvements and new process design based on advancements in technology.
- Black Belt Six Sigma (DMAIC) certification.
- Experience in a concurrent engineering environment.
