Metasys Technologies is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer w Machine Shop Experience to join their team in Syracuse, NY. The role involves developing and optimizing manufacturing processes for aerospace and industrial valves and actuators.
About the Role
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining manufacturing methods, designing tooling and fixtures, performing CNC programming, and providing production support in a high-mix, low-volume environment. You will also apply lean strategies and Six Sigma methodologies to improve process efficiency and ensure compliance with aerospace standards.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years in a CNC machining environment, specifically with multi-tasking machines, mills, and lathes.
- Proficiency in CAD software (Autodesk Inventor preferred) and CAM software.
- Strong understanding of GD&T, robust tooling design, and manufacturing process standardization.
- Must be a US Person (under export regulations).
Preferred:
- Proficiency in LabView for programming and testing.
- Experience with hydraulic, electro-hydraulic, and pneumatic valve testing.
- Experience with surface plate inspection procedures.
