UFP Technologies is hiring a Manufacturing Safety Intern for Summer 2026 at their MedTech campus in Newburyport, MA. The role involves assisting the Safety Department with the design and implementation of activities to enhance and support the UFPT Safety Program.
About the Role
As a Manufacturing Safety Intern, you will work closely with a mentor to apply your knowledge and gain experience in key safety initiatives. Your responsibilities will include setting achievable goals, participating in the safety program, contributing to data acquisition and analysis, generating reports, and assisting with safety concerns in various departments.
About You
Required:
- Enrolled in a 4-year accredited university/college in a Safety discipline.
- Knowledge of OSHA, ANSI, and NIOSH.
- Strong knowledge of PC, Windows, Internet applications, Word, and Excel.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented.
- Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States.
Preferred:
- Previous safety internship or co-op experience.
- Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.
