VIAVI Solutions is seeking a Manufacturing Technician 2 to join their team in Santa Rosa, CA. The role involves performing functions associated with all manufacturing operations, including working with engineers in set-up and calibration tasks, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the production of parts and assemblies.
About the Role
As a Manufacturing Technician 2, you will be responsible for conducting manufacturing operations, determining test specifications, troubleshooting assemblies, preparing technical reports, and assisting in the selection of specialized test equipment. Some operations will take place in a clean room environment, and you will work closely with engineers to ensure quality and efficiency in production.
About You
Required:
- GED/High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident due to access to controlled technology.
- Ability to obtain or maintain a government security clearance.
- Shift flexibility for 12-hour shifts in a 24-hour facility.
Preferred:
- Experience with High Vacuum coating (Box/UCP).
- Familiarity with operating a spectrophotometer.
- Assembly experience with under microscope soldering (MicroNir/metrology).
- Experience operating in an ISO Quality environment.
