Foxconn Assembly, LLC is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to join their team in Houston, TX. The role involves providing process engineering support to production lines and improving assembly processes.
About the Role
As a Manufacturing Technician, you will perform time studies and line balancing on assembly lines, support facility layout and improvement projects, train operators on assembly processes, propose and implement improvements to existing products, processes, and procedures, design and implement new tools to enhance quality and productivity, work with Test and Quality Engineers to reduce cycle-time and resolve manufacturing issues, assist in New Product Introduction (NPI) and process improvement, and provide production floor support as required.
About You
Required:
- Minimum Associate’s degree with 2 years of process, industrial, or manufacturing engineering experience.
- Knowledge of Tact Time Analysis, Lean production methods, KanBan, and lean manufacturing.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
- Contract manufacturing experience is a plus.
- Understanding of quality systems such as Six Sigma.
- Knowledge of Manufacturing BOM (bill of material) structure.
- AutoCAD, Visio, and SAP knowledge.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, problem solving, and prioritization skills.
- Proven ability to function independently and multi-task.
- Ability to remain flexible in a dynamic work environment.
