Summary
Global Support and Development is seeking a Maritime Access Specialist / Commercial Diver (Data) to join their team in Charlotte, NC. The role involves supporting underwater operations, disaster response, and capacity strengthening engagements.
About the Role
As a Maritime Access Specialist, you will execute GSD's mission by planning, executing, and assessing maritime activities, including diving, light salvage, and underwater data collection. You will support decision-making processes, maintain maritime data collection equipment, and promote safety and ethical practices within the organization.
About You
Required:
- Three (3) or more years experience with maritime data collection.
- Three (3) or more years experience in multibeam SONAR / bathymetric data management.
- Three (3) or more years in hyperbaric chamber operations.
- Three (3) or more years in dive operations including survey, salvage, and infrastructure inspection.
- Proven experience working successfully with small teams.
- Accredited commercial diving school or suitable military equivalent.
Preferred:
- 25 or more chamber profiles completed in hyperbaric chamber operations.
- 50 or more working dives completed in dive operations.
- Kirby Morgan Hat Technician certification.
- USCG 25 ton Master (Near Coastal) or IYT Master of Yachts 200 ton (Limited).
