GE Aerospace is seeking a Master Plumber for the 1st Shift at their manufacturing facilities in Vermont. The role involves managing and overseeing all plumbing systems and changes in the plant to comply with Vermont State plumbing codes, supporting permits and inspections, and maintaining various water and mechanical systems.

The Master Plumber will be responsible for all plumbing changes in the plant, ensuring compliance with Vermont State plumbing codes, managing permits for new installations, tracking and inspecting permitted work, and ensuring payments for permit fees. The role includes oversight and management of all plumbing systems, obtaining Mechanical Repair skill block, operating and modifying various water systems including potable city water, treated process water, non-potable process water, chilled water, de-ionized water, and licensed repairs on boilers or low-pressure steam lines. Additional duties include specifying and maintaining plumbing and mechanical supplies inventory, executing projects for capacity and efficiency planning, coordinating modifications or moves involving mechanical and process systems, maintaining washroom facilities, supporting fire protection sprinkler and hydrant systems, maintaining city water backflow preventers, supporting plumbing-dependent operations, working with EHS to monitor water usage, and directing other craftsmen in plumbing and mechanical tasks. The position requires working some holidays, shutdowns, and overtime.
