Chesapeake Shipbuilding is seeking a Material Handler to join their team in Salisbury, MD. The role involves moving, stacking, loading, and unloading products and materials effectively and efficiently.
About the Role
As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for lifting, stacking, and un-stacking products and materials, moving raw materials and finished goods, ensuring proper storage, loading and unloading transport vehicles, and following safety guidelines. You will work both indoors and outdoors and may be required to perform overtime and weekend shifts based on business needs.
About You
Required:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience with telehandler forklift in a construction environment.
- Ability to understand written and oral job instructions.
- Ability to follow all safety standards and policies.
- Must be able to read measuring tape.
Preferred:
- Experience in warehouse machinery operations.
- Ability to multitask and assist the production team when required.
