About the Role
As a Math Instructor / Tutor, you will be responsible for delivering math instruction in a way that resonates with students. Your daily tasks will include engaging with students, providing personalized coaching, and fostering a supportive learning environment. You will work part-time during the school year, primarily in the mid-afternoon to evening hours, and contribute to the overall mission of helping students succeed in math.
About You
Required:
- Exceptional math skills through Algebra I, II and Geometry.
- Excellent communication and multi-tasking skills.
- Ability to professionally interact with students and parents.
- Energetic and confident personality.
Preferred:
- Proficiency in higher math including Trigonometry, Statistics and Pre-Calculus.
- Previous teaching experience or other experience working with students.
Benefits
- Flexible part-time hours, approximately 10-25 hours per week.
- Compensation ranges from $12 - $15 per hour depending on qualifications and experience.
Mathnasium
Mathnasium is a learning center where students go after school to boost their math skills. We are highly specialized; we only teach math. Our program is for students in K2 through 8th grade. Like at a gym or health club, members pay a low monthly fee and can drop–in anytime. Our goal is to significantly increase your child's math skills, understanding of math concepts, and overall school performance, while building confidence and forging a positive attitude toward the subject.
