About the Role
As a Heavy Metal Crane Operator, you will be responsible for operating various types of cranes to lift, move, and place heavy metal materials and equipment. Your daily tasks will include performing equipment inspections, calculating load weights, reading technical drawings, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols and regulations. You will also communicate effectively with the ground crew and assist in developing lift plans for complex operations.
About You
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid NCCCO certification.
- Current OSHA safety certification.
- Valid driver's license.
- 3-5 years of experience operating heavy cranes in construction or industrial settings.
- Demonstrated knowledge of crane safety protocols and load calculations.
- Proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings and lift plans.
- Strong understanding of construction safety regulations and metal handling procedures.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Physical ability to climb, lift, and perform required maintenance tasks.
Preferred:
- Detail-oriented approach to equipment operation and safety procedures.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions.
- Willingness to travel to different construction sites as needed.
