Summary
North Shore Health is seeking an MDS Coordinator for a Full-Time 1st Shift position, with responsibilities split between Lake Mills Health Services and Williams Bay Health Services.
About the Role
As an MDS Coordinator, you will oversee the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process, ensuring accurate and timely completion of resident assessments in compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, and other payor program requirements. You will ensure that assessments reflect the physical, mental, and psychosocial status of residents, optimize reimbursement for services, and maintain appropriate documentation.
About You
Required:
- Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing with respective state licensing board.
- Clinical experience, education or specialty skills specific to geriatrics.
- Demonstrated competence in PPS assessment and OBRA compliance.
- Excellent clinical assessment skills.
- Excellent organization and independent decision-making skills.
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations governing practices.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft products.
Preferred:
- 2+ years of previous experience.
- Experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Post-acute care or health care experience.
