- Willingness to work on gas and diesel engines.
- Understanding of basic electrical components including switches, relays, and circuits.
- Proficiency in vehicle diagnosis and repair.

- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions in English.
- Ability to routinely lift and carry items up to 75 lbs and reach overhead.
- Experience with emergency lighting and sirens.
- Certificates of accomplishments in relevant fields.
