About the Role
As a Mechanic, you will be responsible for routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, and loaders. Your daily tasks will include troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and diesel engine issues, maintaining accurate maintenance logs, and ensuring equipment is safe and reliable for deployment. You will also support field teams by preparing equipment for mobilization and may assist with welding or fabrication work as needed.
About You
Required:
- High school diploma or GED; technical or vocational training in diesel/heavy equipment repair preferred.
- 2+ years of experience working with heavy equipment, preferably in a civil construction or earthwork setting.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and heavy equipment systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Proficiency with power tools, diagnostic equipment, and shop machinery.
- Must have own set of mechanic tools appropriate for heavy equipment work.
- Valid driver’s license (CDL is a plus).
