Collins Aerospace is seeking a Mechanical Assembler III to join their team onsite in San Dimas, CA. The role involves performing assembly operations for components and preparing assemblies for testing inspections.
About the Role
As a Mechanical Assembler III, you will use common hand tools and perform assembly operations for components, ensuring they are assembled to completion. You will prepare assemblies for in-process and final testing inspections, participate in safety and training meetings, and follow manufacturing route sheet instructions and drawing requirements. The position requires working both independently and as part of a team.
About You
Required:
Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
Preferred:
Experience in CCA builds/rework, cable harnesses, or soldering using drawings and microscopes.
Experience working in a clean room or laboratory and working with chemicals.
3+ years of experience working within electro-mechanical or mechanical assembly.
Experience using a resistance spot welder.
Certificates including soldering, J Standard, or Assembler Certifications.
