RMF Engineering, Inc. is currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer for their Boston Division. The role involves performing engineering calculations and preparing detailed mechanical engineering drawings for HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection design.
About the Role
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for developing project objectives, preparing engineering design loads and calculations, coordinating design between engineering disciplines, performing energy analysis, and preparing detailed engineering reports. You will work under the direction of a Project Manager and senior technical oversight, primarily focusing on the Higher Education, Laboratory, and Healthcare market sectors.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Architectural or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from an ABET accredited college or university.
- Experience with mechanical design of HVAC and plumbing building systems on complex projects.
- Must have Autodesk Revit software for Building Information Modeling (BIM) experience.
Preferred:
- Experience with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office software.
- Experience with energy modeling and developing associated reports/presentations.
- Energy modeling software includes IES VE, E-Quest, Ladybug Tools.
- Professional Engineer license (PE).
- Passed FE Exam or EIT Registration.
- LEED Accredited Professional and previous experience participating in the LEED or other green rating system process.
- WELL Accredited Professional.
- Experience and interest in sustainable and high-performance building design.
