About the Role
As a Mechanical Engineering Consultant 2, you will perform consulting level work for power uprates in the nuclear industry, interface with clients and project teams, develop engineering proposals and cost estimates, manage resources, review calculations related to plant processes, and lead junior engineering staff. You will also evaluate vendor bids and ensure compliance with specifications.
About You
Required:
- BSME from an ABET Engineering Accreditation Commission-approved program with a strong academic background.
- 10+ years of experience in the nuclear power industry.
- Experience with nuclear power uprates and/or turbine retrofit projects.
- Strong interest in thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid mechanics.
- Excellent technical report writing skills.
Preferred:
- MSME from an ABET accredited program.
- PE License.
