KUKA is seeking a Mechanical Estimator to join their team in Metro Detroit, MI. The role involves compiling cost estimates for special parts or products, requiring engineering knowledge and the ability to interpret engineering layouts and data.
About the Role
As a Mechanical Estimator, you will compile estimates of costs for special parts or products, interpret engineering layouts and data, and maintain knowledge of the Detroit auto industry base suppliers. You will estimate labor hours for various processes, negotiate changes with customers, and work closely with project specialists and the Project Services Group. Additionally, you will develop proposals and presentations to assist in closing business, while adhering to safety and quality regulations.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, or two to four years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Excel experience required.
Preferred:
- Body in White experience strongly preferred.
- Direct experience in welding, automation, and/or robotic equipment.
