Summary
CannonDesign is seeking a Mechanical IB to join their team in Arlington, VA. The role involves working under the direction of a licensed engineer on projects related to HVAC systems in various sectors including education and healthcare.
About the Role
As a Mechanical IB, you will be part of a multi-disciplinary team responsible for designing piping and equipment selection for HVAC systems, preparing building load calculations, and creating Revit/BIM models for construction drawings. You will assist with specifications, review submittals, and may perform job site visits to verify conditions and observe construction progress.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor or Master's degree in Engineering required.
- Minimum of 2 years of related experience required.
- Experience in computer applications for engineering design programs (i.e. Revit, Trane Trace or Trane 3D Plus) required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred:
- Bachelor or Master's degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited program preferred.
- EIT/FE in the United States preferred.
- LEED accreditation preferred.
- Ability to effectively handle multiple projects.
