About the Role
As a Mechanical Systems Engineer, you will partner with research scientists and hardware engineers to define design requirements, create manufacturable designs using Onshape, and maintain documentation for components. You will also lead assembly procedures and drive technical solutions by researching materials and manufacturing processes.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 2 years of experience in mechanical design in a technical environment, or 1 year with an advanced degree.
Preferred:
- Experience with vacuum/cryogenic systems.
- Experience with electronic, RF or cryogenic materials and properties.
- Experience in machining, fabrication, and additive manufacturing techniques.
- Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)/Product Data Management (PDM) software.
- Proficiency in solid modeling with Onshape.
- Proficiency in creating 2D drawings and application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
