About the Role
As a Med Assistant II, you will be responsible for preparing patients for examinations, performing preliminary physical tests, cleaning exam rooms, obtaining lab specimens, and assisting physicians and other staff as needed. You will also handle clerical duties such as patient registration, scheduling appointments, and maintaining medical records. Additionally, you will perform electrocardiograms, document medical information in electronic records, and coordinate with front office personnel to support patient service.
About You
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Graduate of a post-secondary medical assisting education program accredited by a recognized agency.
- Current certification from a recognized certifying body.
- AHA BLS certification.
Preferred:
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of insurance specifications and medical terminology.
- Basic computer and data entry skills.
