About the Role
As a Medical Assistant/Patient Support Assistant, you will be responsible for answering phones, scheduling appointments, collecting co-payments, completing patient registration, checking in and out patients, verifying insurances, greeting patients, documenting vital signs, and providing front office support. You may also perform basic vitals and assist with phlebotomy and injections as needed.
About You
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
- CPR certification through the American Heart Association.
- One year of work experience in a medical office or related field.
Preferred:
- Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program.
- Medical Assistant Certification (AMT or AAMA).
- Previous experience working in a medical office.
