About the Role
As a Medical Assistant/Patient Support Associate, you will be responsible for answering phones, scheduling appointments, collecting co-payments, completing patient registration, and providing administrative support to the physician practice. You will also check in and check out patients, verify insurances, greet patients, document vital signs, and perform basic vitals like blood pressure, height, and weight. Phlebotomy and injections may be required.
About You
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
- CPR certification through the American Heart Association.
- One year of work experience in a medical office or related field.
Preferred:
- Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program.
- Medical Assistant Certification (AMT or AAMA).
- Previous experience working in a medical office.
