About the Role
As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for taking medical histories, explaining procedures to patients, collecting and preparing specimens for the lab, administering medications, drawing blood, and performing basic laboratory tests. You will work a day/evening rotation from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM, including a monthly Saturday rotation. Your tasks will also include monitoring patient conditions, maintaining medical supplies, and performing administrative duties such as scheduling and data entry.
About You
Required:
- Graduate from an approved medical assisting program or military training as a hospital Corpsman, Combat Medic, or Medical Service Technician.
- Completion of a clinical externship or extensive clinical experience.
Preferred:
- Medical Assisting certification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
- Successful completion of a Cleveland Clinic externship.
