About the Role
As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for performing clinical skills within the scope defined by Florida Statutes and UFHP Clinical Policy. Your duties will include patient care, clerical tasks, insurance processing, and maintaining medical records. You may also be required to float to other UFHP practices as needed.
About You
Required:
- Graduate of an accredited course of study as a Certified or Registered Medical Assistant.
- Current certification or registration as a Medical Assistant.
- Basic Life Support (CPR) certification required or must be obtained within the first ninety days of employment.
Preferred:
- One year of direct patient care experience in an ambulatory care setting.
- Ability to multitask and assume additional responsibilities.
- Proven problem-solving skills and ability to work as a team member.
