About the Role
As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for adhering to the Medical Assistant scope of practice, performing rooming tasks, assisting providers with procedures, conducting lab-related duties, administering medications and vaccines, and maintaining a clean work environment. You will also communicate effectively with patients and team members, and may assist in training new teammates.
About You
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent military training.
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification.
- Two years of experience in a clinical practice setting as a Medical Assistant.
Preferred:
- Certification as a CMA or RMA by a recognized national organization.
- Proficient computer skills including electronic medical records systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
