About the Role
As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for room setup and patient preparation, taking vitals, performing EKGs, drawing blood, administering injections and immunizations, conducting office tests, and handling administrative duties. You may also assist with in-office procedures and treatments, ensuring a smooth patient visit experience.
About You
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Successful completion of an accredited/approved MA program and MA externship, MA internship, EMT, or Paramedic program.
- Minimum of 2+ years clinical experience providing clinical support in a community-based clinic if MA program is not completed.
Preferred:
- Certification as a Medical Assistant through recognized certifying agencies.
- New graduate or 1 or more years of previous clinical experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
