About the Role
As a Medical Assistant, you will assist the Physician, Physician Assistant, or Nurse Practitioner in providing medical care in Urgent Care and Occupational Medicine. Your responsibilities will include patient intake, performing lab work, administering medications, and assisting in minor surgeries. You will also maintain treatment rooms, document patient information accurately, and ensure compliance with quality control measures.
About You
Required:
- Graduate of an accredited school for Medical Assistant, certification preferred.
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a high-paced facility.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
Preferred:
- 1-2 years of experience in an outpatient/clinic setting.
- Licensed Practical Nurses, Emergency Medical Technicians, or Radiologic Technologists with applicable current State licensure.
