About the Role
As a Medical Assistant (MA) I, you will assist providers in administering patient care, prepare for patient appointments, document patient information, obtain vital signs, assist in procedures, administer treatments, and maintain patient records. You will also handle administrative tasks such as processing referrals and coordinating appointments, while ensuring compliance with health regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality.
About You
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Graduated from an accredited Medical Assistant program or completed a United States Armed Forces medical services training program.
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification required.
- Certified Medical Assistant certification required within 6 months of hire.
- Valid Fingerprint clearance card required.
- Must have reliable transportation.
Preferred:
- Bilingual in English and Spanish based on current staffing patterns.
- Knowledge of health plans and community health centers.
- Computer literacy required.
