PM Pediatric Care is seeking a Medical Assistant - Full Time to join their team in Springfield, PA. The role involves providing clinical and administrative support in a pediatric urgent care setting.
About the Role
As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for greeting and registering patients, obtaining medical histories and vital signs, preparing patients for X-rays, performing routine lab tests, assisting with patient care, and maintaining a clean and organized environment. You will work under the direct supervision of a physician and must be available to work weekends as the office operates seven days a week.
About You
Required:
High school diploma or GED.
Prior experience and/or education as a Medical Assistant.
Knowledge of EKG placement and processing in children.
Ability to obtain laboratory tests via nasal swab and venipuncture.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Preferred:
Prior pediatric experience.
Experience with medical records.
Comfortable with computers and Microsoft Office Suite.
Willingness to learn medical software.
