About the Role
As a Medical Assistant - Physiatry, you will greet patients, assist with registration and scheduling, measure vital signs, collect health history, and support physicians during examinations and minor procedures. You will also conduct onsite lab testing, maintain examination rooms, and provide excellent customer service while traveling to assist other local clinics as needed.
About You
Required:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Completion of Medical Assistant educational program or higher education courses in health sciences or related experience required.
- Active medical assistant certification through recognized organizations is required for certain specialties.
- CPR certification or willingness to become certified upon hire required.
- Prior experience working as an MA, CMA, CNA, EMT or 2 years of prior experience working in a medical office assisting with patient care.
Preferred:
- Prior experience using an electronic medical record.
- College graduates from a health sciences program interested in gaining patient care experience.
