Summary
Prisma Health Urgent Care is seeking a Medical Assistant to join their team in Anderson, SC. The role involves providing hands-on patient care and ensuring smooth clinic operations in a fast-paced clinical environment.
About the Role
As a Medical Assistant, you will assist with patient preparation, perform triage and vital signs, document patient history in the EMR system, collect laboratory specimens, administer medications and injections, and support various clinical procedures. You will also enforce healthcare regulatory compliance and perform administrative duties.
About You
Required:
- Must be certified or registered as a Medical Assistant through an accredited organization.
- 1+ year of healthcare experience preferred (urgent care or ER a plus).
- Proficiency in venipuncture, injections, and clinical procedures.
- Experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software, EPIC preferred.
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- A positive, proactive approach to patient care and collaboration.
Preferred:
- Paramedic Certification.
- EMT Certification.
- Medical Assistant Certification.
