About the Role
As a Medical Assistant at PMC, you will be responsible for escorting patients to exam rooms, measuring vital signs, recording patient information, scheduling appointments, and providing patient support services. You will also assist physicians during examinations, review patient records, ensure examining rooms are equipped, and facilitate referrals.
About You
Required:
- High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Certification as a CMA, RMA, CCMA, or NCMA is required.
- Current CPR/BLS Certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
Preferred:
- One year of work experience in a clinic setting.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medical supplies, equipment, and inventory control.
- Prior experience or knowledge of examinations, diagnostics, and treatment room procedures.
- Basic understanding of ICD-10 coding, CPT coding, and medical necessity related to laboratory work.
