About the Role
As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for escorting patients, obtaining and recording vital signs, organizing patient flow, setting up procedure trays, preparing lab specimens, responding to patient inquiries, maintaining equipment, and ensuring HIPAA compliance. You will also assist with anesthesia and injections for procedures and manage inventory of medical supplies.
About You
Required:
- High School Graduate or GED required.
- Completion of a Medical Assistant Program (CMA) or Certified Nursing Assistant program (CNA).
- Experience measuring vital signs and preparing patients for appointments.
- Experience administering injections.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT and ICD-10 codes.
Preferred:
- Completion of a bachelor’s degree program in the pre-med or pre-physician assistant track.
- CPR certified.
- 1-2 years of recent experience as a Medical Assistant or other clinical patient care experience.
- Previous experience in Dermatology.
