About the Role
As a Medical Assistant - Care Navigator, you will be responsible for booking appointments, triaging patients, facilitating consultations, preparing patients for examinations, administering medications, and maintaining compliance with safety standards. You will also handle administrative tasks, foster community relationships, and ensure patients feel valued throughout their health journey.
About You
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Graduate from a nationally accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent healthcare preparation is required.
- Minimum of 2 years MA experience working in a healthcare setting required.
- Must be proficient in venipuncture and injections.
- Strong ability to utilize technology.
- Must be current in CPR certification.
Preferred:
- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) preferred.
- Knowledge of clinical procedures, medical anatomy, and physiology, ICD-10 and CPT codes, insurance eligibility and copay determination.
