About the Role
As a Medical Assistant / Licensed Practical Nurse in Orthopedics, you will be responsible for admitting patients to the clinic, assisting physicians and nurses in providing physical care, performing routine clerical tasks, and ensuring safety and infection control measures are followed. You will also utilize facility communication systems and participate in continuous quality improvement and educational experiences.
About You
Required:
- High School diploma or GED.
- Basic computer skills.
- BCLS certification or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire.
Preferred:
- Some college education.
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant training program.
- Previous experience as a Medical Assistant in an ambulatory care setting.
- Certified Medical Assistant.
