About the Role
As a Medical Assistant in Endocrinology, you will coordinate patient care, manage medication authorizations, administer vaccinations, perform point-of-care testing, and prepare patients for exams and treatments. You will also assist providers with exams and minor procedures, manage patient flow, and provide clerical support for patient documentation.
About You
Required:
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.
- Completion of an approved medical assistant training program as defined by state regulations.
- Active Medical Assistant Certification is required.
- BLS certification required.
- Strong computer skills, including the ability to work with medical software.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferred:
- Experience with office medical procedures and treatments.
- Knowledge of insurance, managed care operations, EMR and scheduling software.
