Summary
UW Health is seeking a Medical Assistant, Pediatric Specialty to join their team in Madison, WI. The role involves providing quality care in a compassionate patient- and family-centered environment at the American Family Children’s Hospital.
About the Role
As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for preparing patients for examination, obtaining vital signs, documenting chief complaints, medications, and allergies, and administering medications and treatments. You will work alongside a team of healthcare professionals to promote healthy lifestyles and wellness education.
About You
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited medical assistant program or licensure as an LPN or completion of the UWH Medical Assistant Apprenticeship Program or attainment of the CCMA certification as a UWH employee or acceptance into the UWH MA Apprenticeship Program – Accelerated or one year of recent Medical Assistant experience and CMA, RMA or CCMA Certification.
- Certified as MA, CMA, RMA, or CCMA within 1 Year Required or Licensure as an LPN Upon Hire Required or current CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification Upon Hire Required.
- CPR/BLS certification Upon Hire Required.
Preferred:
- 1 year of experience as a Certified Medical Assistant or LPN.
