Cambridge Health Alliance is seeking a Medical Assistant to join their team at the CHA Broadway Care Center in Somerville, MA. The role involves managing patient flow, assisting providers, and documenting care in a dynamic primary care environment.
About the Role
As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for efficiently managing the flow of patients through the clinic, rooming patients, assisting providers with medical histories, documenting in the electronic health record, checking routine vital signs, assisting with clinical procedures, and booking follow-up appointments. You will also participate in proactive population management of chronic diseases and perform other duties as required.
About You
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Graduation from an accredited medical assistant program or one year of previous experience as a medical assistant in lieu of program completion required.
- Current American Heart Association or Red Cross Basic Life Support Certification.
Preferred:
- Current experience as a Medical Assistant preferred.
- Experience with administrative duties in a clinical setting preferred.
- Fluency in a second language is preferred.
